Triterpenoid Glycoside

Facilities

Triterpenoid Glycoside compound is 100% plant-based and is an excellent natural nonionic active surfactant with robust moisture absorption properties. It easily dissolves in water, water-contained methanol, water-contained ethanol, glacial acetic acid, acetic anhydride, and pyridine. Strong chemical stability to acid, alkali, and hard water. Good compounding with other admixtures. After formulation, Triterpenoid Glycoside Compound can be used in a wide range of Aquaculture, Agriculture, Personal Care, and extensive industrial applications.

PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL PROPERTIES

Surface Activity - CMC is an important physical parameter to determine the surface-active properties of surfactants. It acts as an emulsifier allowing a compound that is ordinarily insoluble to dissolve, enhancing surface activity, and reducing the surface tension of water.

The critical micelle concentration (CMC) of Triterpenoid Glycoside is determined by surface tension measurement. After esterification, the esters have more significant surface activity. The pH and electrolyte concentration on the CMC  increases in a solution pH; the CMC increases while the surface dilation modulus is decreased. NaC1 has minimal effect on the CMC but decreases the surface dilation modulus of tea saponin solutions by breaking the hydrogen bonds between surfactant molecules on the surface.

Triterpenoid Glycoside performs well as a surfactant, having a CMC of 0.5% and an HLB of approximately 16,73,100. Having natural origins, it's eco-friendly, biodegradable, and non-toxic. These saponin-rich plants provide superior physiochemical and biological properties, making them an excellent source of natural surfactants.
